About Us

Welcome to SupremeGrowers.com

The Supremegrowers.com site and business model is about providing quality information and products for progressive growers, gardeners and landscapers who care about what goes into the plants and landscapes that surround us.

Our goal is to offer progressive gardeners, growers and landscapers a place to find quality, up to date information and safe, tested products, that have real value and really work.

  • As a professional nurseryman and a steward of 18 acres in SW Florida, which I run a bamboo nursery from, I have been exposed to many variations of farming and growing. From completely natural to completely toxic, the differences in growing styles and philosophies are astonishing.
  • Because of my concern for my children, pets and groundwater I began to favor, experiment and eventually develop powerful natural and organic solutions for my nursery and homestead.
  • Through my years of professional growing I have been approached with every growing system and product out there and through careful a/b testing I have found what works and what is gimmick.
  • I care about poisons, I care about your children and pets and your groundwater. Many plant and garden solutions are poison to humans, many others are safe.
  • I have developed strong, eco friendly growing techniques for both indoor and outdoor growing that use only safe products that are non toxic to humans and pets.
  •  Supreme Growers flagship products are a tandem duo of organic, biological beneficial super packs called Soil Blast and Myco Blast. These 2 products represent the most powerful blend of Living Soil beneficials and provide life to any soil in the form of living microbes, beneficial bacteria, and most importantly mycorrhizae beneficial fungi, to the plants root zone.
  • The long lasting benefits of mycorrhizae can not be overstated and there is a huge benefit to almost all plants from only 1 treatment. Mycorrhizae treated plants need and use less fertilizer and are more drought resistant, with naturally stronger roots. Natural and value packed solutions like this is what Supreme Growers is all about.
  • Please join in on the learning, fun and the conversations. We offer: blogs, forums, Picasa and Youtube channels all in an attempt to educate, communicate and collaborate with you.

Welcome and Thank you

F.A.Q.

Soil Blast and Myco Blast FAQ

How to use Soil Blast and Myco Blast to improve everything you grow

Q.  What’s the difference between Soil amendments and Fertilizers

A. When it comes to gardening and soil bacteria, people are often confused with regards to the differences between soil amendments (Like Soil Blast and Myco Blast) and fertilizers (like the 13-3-13 Bamboo Special)

I will try to explain the differences using a food analogy. Our 13-3-13 is an N-P-K Fertilizer. This means that it is high in energy and provides plants a healthy supply of the essential macro nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium similar to the way steak & potatoes provides plenty of protein , carbs and fat for a person.  These building blocks are easily converted into energy, if everything else is in balance.

The Soil Amendments like Soil Blast and Myco Blast work to keep the plants balanced, healthy and feeding heavily. Soil Amendments like Soil Blast and Myco Blast can be compared to supplements athletes take. Athletes take supplements to increase the effectiveness of the foods they intake. Plants can benefit in a similar way.

Imagine feeding a 32 ounce steak to a weightlifter who has the flu. Will he have his normal appetite, probably not. The flu has zapped his vigor, and until he gets his system back in balance, he will not be taking in any nutrition. This same thing can happen to plants. Think of a plant that has been stressed. Overwatered or under watered, heat stressed, burnt with fertilizer or pesticide, no matter what the reason once it is stressed it stops taking up nutrients and stalls its growth until it can repair the damage and begin growth again.

Q. How Does Soil Blast and Myco Blast Benefit Plants?

A. Soil Blast and Myco Blast are 2 products that each play separate rolls in keeping plants in balance and healthy so they can eat, photosynthesize and grow. Here is how each benefits the plant:

Soil Blast- unlocks stored organic matter in the soil surrounding plant roots. Organisms in Soil Blast consume these locked up organics and digest them into organic plant nutrition delivered directly  to the soil root zone.

Myco Blast- Uses a unique blend of Mycorrhizae fungi to form colonies of beneficial fungi that bond to roots and store water and nutrition, for the plant to access at a later time. Mycorrhizae also coats the roots and protects them from harmful pathogens. Things like root rot can’t take hold because the roots are already protected, covered by the mycorrhizae beneficial fungus.

Q. Can I mix Soil Blast with Myco Blast in the same container

A. Yes Soil Blast and Myco Blast can be mixed together to simplify things. Adding 7 grams (1 packet) of each to 5 gallons of water will be enough to drench several plants (up to 15 gallons of roots and soil mass)

Q. Do I have to Use Both Products?

A. No, But you will get more complete benefits and protection if you use both products together. Remember, each product does very different things.

Soil Blast unlocks nutrition from the surrounding soil

Myco Blast grows on and coats root systems and provides a protective shield against pathogens all the while providing a high phosphorous fertilizer  for your plants

Q. How often do I use Myco Blast

A. Often 1 good treatment of Myco Blast Mycorrhizae in the beginning of a plants life cycle is enough to inoculate and protect it throughout its entire life. Mycorrhizae is a fungus that grows with the plants roots, protecting them along the way. 1 treatment for vegetables and annuals, at install, is usually enough to protect them throughout their life. 1 treatment annually in the Fall is recommended for mycorrhizae dependent plants like grass and bamboo.

TIP: Apply Myco Blast when plants are small and let it grow and expand with the growing plants roots

Q. How often do I use Soil Blast

A. You can use Soil Blast separately to unlock nutrition in your soil. Soil Blast delivers billions of starter colonies of beneficial soil bacteria to the soil and root zone. Soil Blast is best delivered a little at a time in consistent intervals. It can be used as frequently as once a week, to keep plants healthy, green and growing strong.

Tip: Some growers choose to add a small amount of Soil Blast (1-2 grams per gallon of water) with every watering. This keeps the microbial activity maxed and keeps soil living, healthy and extremely fertile.
